To fully take advantage of the warehouse space in our Coventry branch, we’ve recently installed an in-house generator to test compressor performance and flow rates.
The Cummins 200 kVA diesel generator is a hard-wired distribution point enabling our engineers to test and run compressors up to 132 kW fixed speed and up to 160 kW variable speed.
The generator was purchased to maintain a high-quality standard of output and service for our stock of previously-owned compressors.
Simon Thomas, Technical Support Engineer, explains:
‘Having the facility to test run larger compressors following service/repair, allows our technicians to prove the work carried out is satisfactory.’
‘It allows our technicians to highlight any further issues which can then be identified prior to machinery being shipped to site for installation, giving peace of mind that when installed at customers premises it is ready to run and perform as expected.’
We offer an air compressor rental scheme and also refurbish second-hand compressors, so we believed it vital to provide proof of quality prior to installation. The generator now enables us to test solutions before they are sent out to customers.
With the generator now ready to use, members of our technical team are being trained up on the equipment.
